About this piece
This oak settle was crafted in England c.1880.
Beautifully and ornately carved, the settle features botanical patterns and scrolling motifs to the top. The arm rests include fabulous dragon heads at the tips, with antiquities from the Far East inspiring the design. (Please note that at present, part of the left hand side dragon head is missing – we can arrange restoration for this).
The settle has a lift up seat with plenty of room for storage within the seat. Perfect for shoes and school bags, or for resting to pop your boots on.
