Designed by Mario Bellini for B&B Italia and produced in Italy in 1980, the Le Stelle series sits within a period of Italian furniture focused on comfort, scale, and long term use. The three seater, two seater, and armchair share the same stitched panel construction, generous proportions, and low seating height, forming a cohesive suite with consistent dimensions and visual weight. Broad arms and deep seats define the series without decorative excess.
The armchair shows clear wear to the original upholstery, including visible tearing that has been sewn and stabilised. The two seater and three seater show general age related wear including surface marks, abrasions, and small areas of wear consistent with use and age.
