About this piece
An iconic original Warren Platner dining table, designed for Knoll and one of the most recognisable pieces of mid-century modern design. The sculptural nickel-plated steel wire base creates Platner’s signature hourglass form, topped with a substantial circular glass top.
A highly collectible design and an exceptional statement piece that works beautifully across mid-century, contemporary and eclectic interiors.
Excellent vintage condition. The nickel-plated base presents beautifully overall, with only very minor patina to the lower base ring as pictured. Glass is in very good vintage condition with a small chip to the edge measuring approximately 2mm and a few light surface scratches consistent with age and use. These are not overly noticeable in everyday use.
