Johan Huldt, co‑founder of the Swedish Innovator studio in 1968, was a pioneering force in bringing youthful, accessible furniture design to mass audiences. Huldt’s career spanned innovative pieces like the pillow-like Kuddlådan and the iconic 099 chair, leading up to his role as CEO of Svensk Form from 1992 to 2003.
The Bjärred chair first appeared in IKEA catalogues around 2000, encapsulating the understated sophistication of Nordic interiors at the turn of the century. It has since been discontinued and is a rare and highly sought after vintage IKEA marvel.
This piece is in great condition. The leather is very good, as is the frame, with only minimal signs of wear and use.
