This traditional Bobo Sun Mask, also known as the Wanzega Mask, originates from the Bobo people of Burkina Faso. Used during the annual Bwa ceremony, it symbolises the sun’s energy and serves as a spiritual conduit.
Carved in a circular form representing the sun, its intricate patterns depict sun rays and ancestral spirits. During ceremonies, male performers don the mask in ritual dances, channeling its power for healing, wisdom, and spiritual renewal. Rodwell and Astor requires a street address for all deliveries, unfortunately we do not deliver to PO boxes unless prior shipping arrangements have been made with us. Deliveries are only door to door and not brought into the premise unless stated otherwise.
