  Designed in Barcelona in 1991 by Spanish designer Pepe Cortés, the Jamaica stool became one of the defining pieces of late twentieth century Spanish design. Produced by BD Barcelona Design and often supplied through Barcelona retailer Amat during early distribution, the design pairs a sculpted rotating beech saddle seat with a chromed steel pyramid frame that resolves structure through balance and radial geometry.
