About this piece
This vintage Indian almirah is a beautiful example of traditional storage furniture, originally from Jodhpur in India. It was used, as we also do, to store clothing, linens, and treasured household items. Crafted from solid hardwood and fitted with glass-panelled doors, it combines practicality with understated elegance.
The warm timber tone carries a rich aged patina, highlighting the natural grain and subtle markings that only decades of use can create. Original iron hardware and traditional joinery details remain intact, preserving its authenticity and heritage.
With generous internal shelving and a classic symmetrical façade, this almirah works effortlessly as a display cabinet, linen cupboard, or statement storage piece in contemporary interiors.
