The ring has a bold design reminiscent of the 1940s and 1950s cocktail period jewellery, along with a date inscribed to the inside '5.6.57' indicating it was gifted in 1957. The inscription reads 'Princesa Covadonga' which in English translates to 'Princess Covadonga', with Covadonga a region in Spain.
