  This is a ‘high end’ quality example of a genuine antique English George IV later 1820s Chiffonier, small Sideboard or Side Cabinet which is made from and finished in prestigious imported Brazilian Rosewood of excellent figuring and colour.

  It has a good three tier high backboard with a brass pierced three quarter gallery on the top shelf. The two lower shelves are canter levered off the back board and the top tier / shelf is supported by three full height elegant columns at either end.

  The lower storage / Display cabinet has a full width concealed frieze drawer with a decorative centre panel and a pair of cross banded doors below which reveal two internal full width shelves.The top and bottom of the frieze section have a turned beaded edge molding as do the engaged pillasters with their vertical recessed panels either side of the doors.

  The whole is supported on a platform base with short reeded bun feet at the front and plain bun feet at the rear.

  The cabinet doors feature a vertical brass cover strip and diamond pattern brass grills however these may be replaced with glass if required.

  Condition: Excellent for age.
