This is a a very attractive ‘classic’ genuine antique English later 1700s George III Demi lune shaped card table with a fold over top and double rear gate legs.
Finished in the finest ‘satin’ Mahogany and embellished with a Rosewood perimeter cross banding on the top surface with a Satinwood / Fruitwood line inlay between the Mahogany and the Rosewood. The elegant square tapered legs in the Sheraton manner also have full height fine complimentary line inlays and terminate in original all brass square bucket castor assemblies.
The hinged top folds over and rests on the pair of two rear gate legs. If you are purchasing a table like this always look to see if it has a double rear gate leg and not just a single gate leg.
The top has been superbly re polished and the interior playing surface awaits your choice of colour for the woven woolen baize.
