About this piece
A striking signed art glass platter by Australian studio glass artist Ogishi Mizuno, hand blown and dated 1991.
This large sculptural bowl features a beautifully organic form with a softly undulating rim and an intricate pattern of pastel blues, lilacs, pinks and subtle green inclusions suspended within the glass. The effect evokes coral reefs, flowing water and cloud formations, creating a unique interplay of light and colour.
Equally suitable as a decorative centrepiece or displayed on a stand as wall-worthy glass art, this substantial piece showcases the creativity and craftsmanship associated with Australian studio glass of the late twentieth century.
