About this piece
Antique wooden Chinese rice measures from the early 20th century, crafted from reclaimed elm with a weathered patina that speaks to their age and history. Originally used as precise measuring tools in markets and households across Asia, these handcrafted pieces now function beautifully as decorative accents or compact storage solutions. Each measure carries distinct rustic character, with some featuring traditional metal joints or hardware that enhance their authentic appeal. Sizes vary, but their compact proportions make them ideal for styling on shelves, consoles, or tables—adding warmth and provenance to any interior. A functional piece of culinary heritage that bridges past and present.
