A striking pair of vintage ceramic foo dogs in distinctive turquoise and green glaze. Mid-century production, likely 1960s-1970s.


Guardian lions in traditional seated pose — male with open mouth, female with closed mouth. Vibrant turquoise ceramic with green flame detailing and decorative carved bases. Manufacturing mark "7483" on base.


These mid-century foo dogs sit at the intersection of Asian tradition and Western mid-century design aesthetics. The turquoise glaze was hugely popular during this era, making these pieces both collectible and highly decorative.


Perfect as bookends, mantel guardians, console styling, or entryway statement pieces. Work beautifully in contemporary, eclectic, or mid-century modern interiors.


Condition: Good vintage condition. Glaze crazing throughout (expected for age, adds authenticity). Some slight flecks of black paint have flaked off the ear region of one of the statues, as pictured. Bases show age-appropriate wear.
