A beautiful vintage Yugoslavian example of the iconic Model 811 "Prague" chair, a design originally created by Josef Hoffmann for Thonet in the early 20th century.
Crafted from steam bent timber with finely woven cane to both the seat and backrest, featuring the unmistakable curved frame and horseshoe stretcher beneath. A wonderfully light and elegant design that sits somewhere between Viennese modernism, Bauhaus and mid century design.
Stamped "Made in Yugoslavia" beneath the frame, along with original production markings. Presented in excellent vintage condition with beautifully preserved cane and only light wear to the timber consistent with age. A great standalone desk or occasional chair, or an ideal addition to a mixed vintage dining setting.
