After studying design at East Sydney Technical College and working in London, Tony returned to the family business with a vision to combine Scandinavian elegance with Australian lifestyle requirements.
By 1961, the Parker factory at Regent's Park featured a dedicated in-house design service and a drafting office. This team of draughtsmen and master craftsmen worked collectively to translate Tony's sketches into the refined pieces we celebrate today. The Model 104 is a direct result of this internal synergy, showcasing the technical precision and sculptural timber work that made the Parker design house a leader in the industry.
The Model 104 is distinguished by its subtle shape and signature cigar legs. The timber features a warm and varied grain, chosen by the original Parker team for its stability and visual appeal. The table features two pull-out extension leaves that store neatly beneath the main surface. This clever dual mechanism allows the piece to function as a compact setting for four to six people, or extend effortlessly at either end to accommodate eight.
