A masterclass in Danish Mid-Century functionalism, this Model 312 dining table was designed in 1956 by the renowned duo Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen. Manufactured by the prestigious Søborg Møbelfabrik, this piece is celebrated for its architectural silhouette and ingenious "Dutch" extension system.
Design Features:
The table features a beautifully grained teak top supported by a solid teak frame with tapered, slightly slanted legs. Its most striking detail is the patinated brass "V" struts that provide both structural stability and a refined, industrial-chic contrast to the warm timber.
Functionality:
Perfect for both intimate daily use and hosting large gatherings, the table extends seamlessly from 140 cm to 240 cm via two integrated pull-out leaves. Unlike many extension tables, the leaves are stored internally, maintaining the table's clean, minimalist lines when closed.
