Inspired by the refined, space-conscious designs that emerged during the post-war furniture boom of the 1950s and 60s, Tessa pieces were celebrated for their clean lines, sculpted silhouettes and practical elegance. This charming two-seater carries that same legacy — modest in scale, yet generous in presence.
Newly reupholstered in a sumptuous blue wool with delicate grey flecks, she has been completely stripped back and restored — old foams removed and replaced, structure refreshed, and brought beautifully back to life.

Founded in the late 1960s in Melbourne by Fred Lowen, Tessa became famous for its sculptural timber furniture and luxurious leather lounges. Tessa’s furniture was heavily influenced by Danish modernism, particularly through its use of rich timber frames, organic curves, and high quality leather. The brand became especially well known for its modular leather sofas and reclining lounge chairs, many of which are still highly sought after today.
