Italian Milano Sideboard & Cabinet Suite Marble Top, Signed Luciano Galimberti
Exceptional matching Italian suite comprising a 3.1m sideboard with original mirror and a coordinating cabinet, both stamped Mobili Luciano Galimberti, Lissone (Milano).
Purchased from the original Italian family who brought these pieces to Australia in the 1960s, this is a genuine, high-quality example of Milanese cabinetmaking from the period.
The sideboard features a single slab marble top, beautifully figured timber veneers, and fine inlaid detailing throughout. The original mirror with carved crest adds scale and presence, making it a true statement piece. The accompanying cabinet continues the same craftsmanship, with striking red and gilt interior panels.
Both pieces are exceptionally well made and in very good condition for their age, with a rich polish and clean structure.
This is not mass-produced furniture it is a substantial, decorative suite suited to a large interior or collector setting.
