A striking example of Space Age design, this "Albatros" pendant was manufactured by Meblo (Yugoslavia) in the 1970s, as part of their celebrated collaboration with Italian lighting house Harvey Guzzini.
With its vibrant red acrylic shade and distinct trumpet silhouette, it perfectly captures the playful yet sophisticated plastic-fantastic aesthetic of the era.
Restoration & Condition
Unlike many vintage examples where the delicate mechanisms have failed, this piece has been professionally restored.
Mechanism: The rise-and-fall (pull-down) mechanism has been serviced and fitted with a brand new cable, ensuring smooth, flawless operation for years to come.
Electrical: Fully tested and tagged to meet Australian safety standards (250V). Hardwired. B22 Globe.
Aesthetic: The red acrylic shade is in very good vintage condition, retaining a rich color and gloss with patina consistent with age and use.
