About this piece
Large coffee table handcrafted from recycled elm, lightly finished with a colour wash and wax to unify tone while retaining the timber’s natural grain and texture. The surface presents knots, gnarls and other irregularities inherent to reclaimed wood.
- Dimensions: Approx. 180 cm W x 78 cm D x 45 cm H
- Material: Recycled elm wood
Craftsmanship and natural variation:
- Handmade from unfinished elm timbers, then lightly finished.
- As a natural material, the wood may feature bows, cups and cracks that can continue to develop over time.
- Variations in grain, texture and tone are to be expected; no two tables are the same.
Care information:
- The timber is lightly colour-washed and waxed to create a more even appearance while maintaining a natural look.
- With appropriate care, the piece will age and develop character over time.
Daily care:
- Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth.
- If needed, wipe evenly with a lightly damp (not wet) cloth.
- Avoid harsh cleaners, abrasives, and uneven rubbing or wiping, which can wear through the finish and expose raw timber.
Protect the surface:
- Use coasters, placemats and felt pads under drinks, dishes and decorative items.
- Avoid excessive moisture, scratching and scrubbing, which can lead to an uneven finish.
Maintaining the finish:
- For added durability, apply a high-quality furniture wax before first use and periodically as needed.
- Test on an inconspicuous area first, as some colour variation may occur.
Before you buy:
- Measure carefully to ensure the table fits your space and can be moved into position, considering access points such as doorways, stairwells and elevators.
- This piece is oversize and very heavy; ensure adequate assistance if collecting.
