Art Deco - Davidson #269 - Green Glass 'Blackberry Prunt' Bowl Set.

A wonderful Art Deco Prunt part frosted green glass bowl dessert set. The top rims are fabulously wavy and they all have a starburst base. Made by British company Davidson in the 1930's, pattern number 269, this pattern is known as Blackberry Prunt. Shown in their 1928 product catalogue, page 12. PRODUCED IN THE 1930'S BY GEORGE DAVIDSON & CO GATESHEAD TYNESIDE ENGLAND WHICH CLOSED IT'S DOORS IN 1989. What is a Prunt in glass? - A blob of glass applied to a glass object primarily as decoration, but also to afford a firm grip in the absence of a handle. This set is AMAZING!!!!
