Hornsea ‘Saffron’ was a popular range from Hornsea designed by John Clappison. Introduced three years after Heirloom, in 1970, it had the perfect colourway for the decade of orange and dusky brown.
Look carefully at the design and you will see it is made up of a myriad of tiny daisies.
The milk jug is 9cm tall, and is in great condition with no chips or cracks. There is a small amount of crazing to the inside. It is marked to the base with “Hornsea 1977, Saffron, Made in England”.
The sugar bowl is 9cm tall without the lid, and 10cm with the lid, and is in great condition with no chips or cracks.
