Hornsea Pottery ‘Saffron’ designed coffee pot by John Clappison in 1974

Hornsea ‘Saffron’ was a popular range from Hornsea designed by John Clappison.

Introduced three years after Heirloom, in 1970, it had the perfect colourway for the decade of orange and dusky brown.

Look carefully at the design and you will see it is made up of a myriad of tiny daisies.

 This coffee pot presents beautifully and has no chips or cracks.

This particular pot was produced in 1974 and is dated on the base, and stands at 25cm tall.
