The Senufo people of West Africa are renowned for their wood carving skills and these stools are certainly an exemplar of this characterisation. The Senufo people come from western Africa, the Ivory Coast and Mali. No nails or screws are used in the making, it is a wonderfully simple sculptural form. Each one is individual and unique. These stools can be used as side tables too. Most of the stools are worn smooth on top from use.
