These are In Between SK8 counter stool frames, designed by Sami Kallio for &Tradition in 2017, in smoked oiled oak, sold without a seat pad so you can choose your own upholstery.
&Tradition is a Copenhagen design house built on Danish craft traditions, and Kallio's design draws directly on that grounding; he trained as a cabinetmaker before turning to industrial design. The crescent-shaped back and armrest are compression moulded and wood-turned from solid oak, keeping the frame light and open, with real gaps through the backrest, while still giving proper ergonomic support through the seat and arms. The timber is FSC certified, and the design holds EU Ecolabel certification, reflecting both the sourcing and the durability of the build.
The frames are in excellent condition, stable and structurally sound, currently without a seat pad fitted. We can arrange custom upholstery through our usual workroom in a fabric or leather of your choice, quoted separately once you've chosen your material.
