About this piece

Two black spotlight heads sit on a slim chrome pole, each one swivelling independently, so you can point one at the ceiling and the other straight down onto a book or a desk.

It's a simple bit of engineering. A weighted round base keeps the whole thing steady despite how slender it is, and there's an inline switch on the cord so you're not reaching up to the heads every time. Made in Germany by Miwi, c1970s. This style of twin spot lamp turns up a lot from late '60s onwards, but the ones that have held their finish this well are getting harder to find.

Great beside an armchair, at the end of a sofa, or in a hallway that needs a bit of directional light without eating up floor space.

Tested and tagged. Ready for Australian use. Wipe down with a dry cloth, no polish needed.
