This is no ordinary genuine antique 19th century English Victorian Dressing Table that some may also describe as a Dressing Chest.
Made by craftsmen from solid boards of prestigious Walnut and finished in feature panels of selected Walnut Burl of lovely honey colour and exceptional figuring.
The top section features a serpentine framed swing mirror supported by opposed shaped and carved ‘S’ scrolled brackets. which rise from a raised platform with three side by side jewellery drawers of which the middle one is serpentine fronted and all drawers have decorative carved ribbon shaped draw pull handles.
The base section comprises of a pair of rectangular pedestals each with three graduated and stacked drawers also featuring carved ribbon drawer pull handles. On the front corners are full height turned columns decorated with a spiral design. Above the knee hole is a serpentine fronted centre drawer with a recessed cupboard beneath and the cupboard has a recessed paneled door. the whole is supported on a shaped plynth base.
Condition: Over all very good however there are several areas that require a little attentio which our professional restorer will attend to
Price: Once conserved and in Excellent condition it should sell for around $4,500 however to assist with a quick sale say $3,975.
