Description: Dating to circa 1910, this antique French oak armoire is a substantial four-door wardrobe showcasing a beautifully figured oak grain, an elegant camel-back arched pediment and an asymmetrical door configuration. The rich timber is complemented by brass escutcheons and three working keys.
Designed with practicality in mind, the interior provides a combination of hanging and shelved storage. Behind the left-hand door is a hanging section with an internal depth of 52 cm. The centre section provides double hanging with the same 52 cm depth, while behind the right-hand door are three shelves above a full-width drawer, making the wardrobe equally suitable for clothing, linen or household storage.
The wardrobe dismantles into sections, making transportation and installation considerably easier than a fixed one-piece armoire, particularly where access is limited.
