About this piece

A striking four panel vintage Indian room divider, dating approximately from the 1950s 60s. Crafted from timber, the screen features intricate hand carved jali latticework alongside richly painted floral panels in deep red, ochre, green and black tones.

Each panel is individually detailed with pierced geometric carving, hand painted botanical motifs and decorative borders running the full height of the screen. The aged finish and natural patina add depth and character, highlighting the craftsmanship and history of the piece.

Measuring approximately 200cm high x 182cm wide overall, it has an impressive scale and presence. Equally suited as a functional room divider, decorative screen or statement interior piece, it is a beautiful example of traditional Indian craftsmanship with strong architectural appeal.
