A quality, genuine, large, Antique English, circa 1815, Regency, Breakfast Table in Mahogany. The rectangular ‘tilt top’ is made of two solid cuts of ‘book leaf’ matched wide and very well figured boards. The centre column is boldly turned and from the small cylindrical base flow four reeded, tapered, downward and outward flowing legs terminating with Brass Lion Paw Sabots (toe caps ) with original all brass castor assemblies beneath.
The whole is in excellent condition for age and has good patination.

About this piece

English Regency mahogany breakfast table, circa 1815, with a rectangular tilt-top formed from two solid cuts of book-leaf matched, wide and well-figured boards. The centre column is boldly turned, rising from a small cylindrical base.

Four reeded, tapered legs are splayed downward and outward, terminating in brass lion paw sabots (toe caps) with the original all-brass castor assemblies beneath. Traditionally termed a breakfast table; equally suited to dining or supper use. The piece presents in excellent condition for age with good patination.
