Set of Plia Folding Chairs by Giancarlo Piretti for Castelli, Italy, 1967

These chairs are light and space-saving. The frame is made of aluminum and the seat is made of plastic. 

75cm H (45cm seat H) x 47cm W x 50cm D

Four chairs are in good vintage condition, consistent with age with normal traces of use (small scratches). One chair has a clear back rest with a smokey brown seat rest. One chair has a crack through the seat rest. This does not affect the structure. Last two photos show condition.

The Plia chair, designed by Giancarlo Pirretti, was presented at the Milan Furniture Fair in 1967, obtaining public acclaim. It is now exhibited at the MoMa Museum in New York.
