The Space Lounge Chair, created by the German design duo Jehs + Laub in 2007, was conceptualised based on the notion of enveloping the sitter in the comforting embrace of a hand. The chair's design features lines that evoke the winding paths, roads, and fields of a landscape. Crafted from black lacquered synthetic for the shell and steel for the base, the chair is upholstered with a textured black fabric in four separate sections. There are some scratches to the synthetic shell and a small chip to the top of one of the chairs. The base also shows signs of wear.
