This good quality oval sterling silver and tortoiseshell trinket box was manufactured by Collett and Anderson in London in 1924. The tortoiseshell lid is inlaid with silver work representing stylised flowers and leaves, and the whole piece rests on four cast silver feet. The interior is lined with a fawn velvet, which does have a small stain measuring 15 mm by 10 mm (roughly half an inch square). The piece measures 163 mm (6 3/8ths inches) in width, 100 mm (4 inches) in depth, and it stands 66 mm (2 5/8ths inches) high. Overall it is in very good condition.
