The inside of this two handled Moorcroft comport is decorated with a single, large, velvety red and blue pansy, backed by some foliage, which is a rather unusual decoration. Around the outer rim of the bowl runs an undulating ring of flowerbuds and leaves, which separates the off white glaze at the top and the dark blue that continues down to the foot. It stands 135 mm (5.25 inches) high and the bowl has a diameter of 165 mm (6.5 inches). It has a small flaw on the pansy where a piece of grit from the kiln has settled, and there is some crazing.
