The shaped demi-lune top is executed in Rouge de France marble, with veining in deep crimson, russet and cream. A gilt-edged apron with a shallow, curved profile sits beneath, articulating the transition from top to base.
The sculptural base comprises two sweeping volute legs of ribbed and reeded form, painted in crème with gilt-highlighted ridges. Each leg springs outward and upward from a central compressed gilt sphere and terminates in tightly scrolled feet with pronounced ribbing. The composition reads as a single, fluid gesture in the Italian Rationalist décoratif tradition.
