About this piece
An exceptional Scandinavian Modern daybed designed by the renowned Ingmar Relling for Ekornes of Norway. This highly sought-after design perfectly embodies the clean lines, functionality and craftsmanship that made Norwegian furniture internationally celebrated.
Crafted in beautiful solid oak, the elegant frame features removable timber arm & back and effortlessly converts from a sophisticated sofa into a comfortable daybed. Cleverly designed. Keep the arms on or off; a personal preference.
Professionally reupholstered in a striking new vintage tartan fabric, restored timber frame, new foams incl topper and new base cover, this piece pays homage to its Scandinavian heritage while making a bold design statement. The vibrant upholstery complements the warm oak beautifully, creating a one-of-a-kind collector’s piece that is equally at home in a contemporary or mid-century interior.
A rare opportunity to own an authentic comfortable sofa engulfed in beautiful quality wool/felt upholstery.
