Antique set of 19th century renaissance revival, walnut dining chairs with carved and turned legs, stretcher base, and uprights. Heavily decorative frame features finials and carved surmounts with acanthus leaf design. Each back rest features a unique embossed leather vignette of a figural scene of a putto or cherub amidst foliage, flowers, berries and grapes (each is different) with studded edging, surrounded by a gallery of turned spindles. Seat pads upholstered with a lovely woven jacquard tapestry fabric and gimped edging. Signs of wear consistent with age - refer images. Sold as a set of 6.
