Small ebonised French Empire Chest of Drawers with removable beveled-edge oval mirror, with painted drawers in gold, silver and timber-finish. It was purchased at a small antique restorer in Paris, and is a genuine French antique from the early 1800's. Unfortunately it was quite damaged on the trip back to Australia, and the original casters have been lost (and one of the legs has been repaired). However, it is still solid and in good working condition. There is some foxing to the mirror as expected for age.
Currently in use as a bedside - it is quite small: 105cm wide, 50cm deep and 77cm high at the top of the chest, 149cm to the top of the mirror.
