About this piece
Heavy-gauge steel storage trunk by B.S. Holt, a supplier associated with mid-twentieth-century industrial and military equipment storage. Constructed from folded steel panels with reinforced edges, twin clasp closures and side carry handles, it was designed for durable transport and long-term storage in workshop or field environments.
The exterior shows a well-developed industrial patina from decades of use, with original stencil lettering still visible across multiple faces. The worn steel surface and utilitarian hardware have been gently cleaned using water only and sealed with a clear satin lacquer to stabilise and preserve the existing rust patina, protecting the surface for interior use while retaining the original character.
Suited to storage or use as a low table.
Dimensions: 80 cm W x 50 cm D x 30 cm H
