Large-scale William IV breakfront secretaire bookcase in flame mahogany, c.1840. Expertly restored, presenting a rich patina and complete with all keys.
The upper section comprises four glazed doors with a shelved interior. The lower section presents four doors with flame mahogany panels and decorative carvings, with upper decorative corbels accenting the façade. A central drawer opens to reveal a fitted secretaire with an oxblood leather-topped writing surface and compartments for stationery and paperwork. Mother-of-pearl inlays to the knobs provide a refined detail.
