This 'Apollo' model easy chair is made of a bent plywood frame and beige patterned woollen upholstery.
Designed by Sven Skipper of Denmark, and closely channelling Åke Fribytter’s famed ‘Kroken’ chair originating from Sweden, this particular rendition was produced locally by Scandinavian design furniture firm The Modern, as part of their ‘Kurva’ range.
The bucket style hammock seat is suspended from the beechwood frame and will adapt to the shape of each person sitting. It provides a sumptuous lounging experience, enveloping the sitter. The bentwood ply frame gives the chair a slight bounce.
This piece is in good condition, with very few signs of wear.
