These are a very substantial set of superior quality, genuine Antique, English George IV Set of Eight Mahogany Dining Chairs including 2 x Carver Chairs and 6 x Side Chairs. One carver is an excellent latter replacement. the ‘show timber' frames are made from the finest prestigious imported Central American Mahogany and the deep curved top rails not only features boldly carved opposed Prince of Wales Feathers to either end but are also feature veneered in lovely ‘flame’ Mahogany. The back uprights are embellished with carved folate motifs at the top and with full length reeding down to the seat frame. The curvred arms on the end or Carver chairs scroll down and under while the arm supports which are also reeded flow into the seat frame side rails.The seat rails are all straight and have a bold horizontally reeded profile. The front legs are downward tapered and feature Hexagonal full height facets and the rear legs are of sabre form.
The drop on webbed and upholstered seats lift off for easy maintenance and recovering if required.
Condition: The chairs are in sound and very good original condition commensurate with age and use. The price includes general refurbishment.
