This is a very good and genuienly early Antique English Oak lift lid Coffer of lovely colour, excellent detail and lovely condition from the later 1600s ( Charles II ) to the early 1700s. It has a simple plank top, with two front adzed panels and carving to the frieze and is of pegged joint construction with stile feet. Please note that the feet are still long and have not been cut down nor worn down plus there are shaped support brackets bracing the case to the legs.
Condition: Desirably original and with an excellent patina.

Price: Was originally consigned in to be offered at $4,250 however now reduced to $3,485.
