This is a very good genuine antique English later 1700s ( 18th century ) Oak Dresser Base with its original three shelved upper Plate Rack complete with its lovely wide Pine back boards.
The base is basically of rectangular shape and is constructed from thick and heavy solid Oak boards. The top surface comprises of only two very wide boards while the ends are of framed construction with recessed panels. The whole is of lovely light to medium honey colour.
There are three side by side top drawers. Below are two opposed opening doors separated by a fixed panel. All drawers and cupboard doors plus the central front panel are beveled and feature early Brass hardware.
Condition: Over all excellent however the drawer linings due to being worn with centuries of use have been replaced which is not unusual. The finish is original and has a very good waxed patina.
