An iconic pair of sculptural postmodern Ribbon Chairs by Canadian furniture maker Jaymar, circa 1990.
Featuring Jaymar’s distinctive continuous curved silhouette, generous proportions and strong steel construction, these chairs are a striking example of late 20th-century postmodern design.
Upholstered in vibrant ruby red microsuede, they are incredibly comfortable with generous cushioning and a substantial, quality feel.
The microsuede presents in excellent vintage condition, with only a few very minor holes to one chair and a small rust-coloured mark to the underside of one base, as pictured. Otherwise, both chairs present beautifully.
A particularly special find as a matching pair and increasingly difficult to come by in this condition.
