Johan van Hengel designed the Nook lounge chair for De Vorm in the Netherlands, released in 2016. These are ex showroom chairs, near new, with the seat cushion reupholstered to order in a fabric of your choosing.
Van Hengel designs furniture, lighting and living accessories from his studio in the Netherlands, with a focus on function, materiality and production technique. Nook's shell is formed in a single pressing operation, shaping flat PET felt, itself made from recycled plastic bottles, into a curved, wraparound profile on a powder coated steel frame. The design won an iF Design Award in 2017.
Choose your shell in light grey or dark grey felt, and your frame in white or black powder coat. Custom seat cushion upholstery is included in the price, from our range of suppliers, so the chair arrives finished and ready for your home.
