Lip handles keep the front clean, and the bar stays close at hand and out of sight. Parker only made this line over 3 years so these are not wildly available but they are highly sought after given their limited production.

Parker began in Sydney in 1935. Tony Parker joined in 1949, studied industrial design, and brought Scandinavian influence to the range in the early 1950s. One cupboard door over five drawers, on a compact footprint that takes very little floor.

The details

Dimensions: 122cm W x 45cm D x 121cm H

Maker: Parker Furniture, Sydney

Range: Model 191

Era: 1960s

Timber: Teak

Handles: Lip

Storage: 1 door, 5 drawers

Condition: Restored pieces are refinished in our Melbourne workshop: finish stripped, surface repaired and refinished in either a long lasting low maintenance hard wax oil, or a hard wearing lacquer finish, drawers run smoothly as expected.
