A beautiful antique naga hibachi in the Tokyo style from the Meiji to Taisho era (1900 - 1926). Encased in an exquisite burled Keyaki veneer. These intriguing items were used to heat rooms and tea via hot coals held in their copper tubs. The hibachi has been fitted with a glass top, so it can be used a side table or small coffee table with handy storage in its five drawers. The glass can be removed and the copper tub used as a plant stand. A truly delightful piece, we've put a lot of care into the restoration of this naga hibachi, so it will bring a sense of warmth and joy for many years to come.
