Deeply carved fruit and foliage run along the projecting side pilasters while the central drawer carries bold symmetrical scrollwork beneath a gently shaped top. The original key remains with the chest, strengthening the completeness of an already richly worked example. Warm cedar grain and generations of developed patina give the piece a commanding presence while the varied drawer configuration provides generous practical storage.

Measures: 119cm W x 60cm D x 128.5cm H

https://bazaa.com.au/products/late-nineteenth-century-australian-cedar-eight-drawer-chest-with-fruit-carvings
