Born in Périgueux and later based in Limoges, Fauré established his own enamel workshop around 1920, initially working with the enameller Alexandre Marty before developing a larger atelier employing highly skilled craftsmen. His work is particularly celebrated for its richly coloured, highly textured enamels applied to copper, combining Art Nouveau floral motifs with the bold geometric forms of Art Deco.
